Established in 1880 by Charles A. Hoitt, the doors of the C.A. Hoitt company first opened in Manchester, New Hampshire in the hub of the city on Elm Street. Manchester was then home to many hardworking mill yard families. The need for affordable, quality furniture created the perfect market for Mr. Hoitt’s vision.

Hoitt’s continued to grow the family business for generations to come. The need for more space led C.A. Hoitt Furniture to relocate to the corner of Valley & Wilson Streets. While its location has changed, Hoitt’s board of directors and sales staff is still comprised of family and friends dedicated to maintaining the same quality product lines and attentive service our customers have grown to love for over a century.
